Our history

Almost a year ago, two restless and passionate souls decided to embark on a new family adventure in wonderful Barcelona. Two Chileans: Francisca, an entrepreneur at heart, lover of art, music and theater, mother of a little boy, who, together with Catalina, a commercial engineer from the financial world, today with two daughters and a fascination for the craziness of these two beautiful girls.

One day they met in a Barcelona park while playing with their little ones. They didn't know how to approach each other, but they knew from afar that they shared something in common, an accent, until one of them broke the ice.

What started as casual encounters in the middle of the immensity of Barcelona soon became a special connection. Francisca and Catalina, two Chileans lost in this great city, discovered that they shared similar dreams and a common passion for sustainability and natural cosmetics.

Thus, one afternoon, while they were sharing laughter and anecdotes in the park, Francisca confessed to Catalina her crazy dream of starting a business in Barcelona that merged cosmetics with sustainability. At that moment, their new adventure began: they decided to join forces and create something significant, something that would transcend and leave a legacy for their children and for our planet. This is how our natural cosmetics brand MARÎMARÎ was born.

And what does the name mean?

“ MARÎMARÎ means Hello or Good morning in the Mapudugun language, a culture originally from Chile.”

Our inspiration is in the natural and cultural wealth of both countries and in the beauty of this vibrant and passionate Barcelona, ​​fusing natural ingredients with sustainable practices.
